Testimonials...
The Harders have been the backbone of Wailuku Union Church for five generations. Zelie has served as a Sunday School teacher and on the Church Council. Ted has served in almost every role in the church: Trustee, Council member, lay speaker and worship leader and even Deaconess! They are faithful members of the Monday night bible study group. Ted tells anyone who is interested in joining Wailuku Union Church that it is here where you get to know, understand and connect with Jesus Christ. The Harders support the Mission Grounds Development Project and believe it is high time to get something done.

Pat has been a member of Wailuku Union Church ”forever” since she and her sisters, Louise and Josephine, used to accompany their mother to attend Sunday School. She has loved this church from her first foot steps entering the church. Back in the day, there was no question about whether you would attend church, you just did. She has been embraced by the friendliness of the members. Even if you didn’t know everyone’s name, you knew they were your family. She loves the children who have so much energy!

Helene and Richie have been members for 40 plus years. Helene had been a
member of Margie Baybrook’s Women of Faith group and when she heard
that Rev. George Baybrook had been called as pastor of WUC, she and Richie
joined the yoked ministry of Iao-WUC. Helene says that what distinguishes
WUC from other churches is that we truly live by our motto as a
“caring and praying church.” Richie adds, “We aren’t a church with a
lot of pizzazz or big productions, we’re plain and simple folk
who care deeply about loving God and growing as Christians.”
