Music at Wailuku Union Church
1 (305) 588-0083Music at Wailuku Union Church is a community music program headed by Ms. Damira Feldman, WUC’s Music Director. We host quarterly concerts such as an Evening in Rio and the Maui Outstanding Piano Amateur Festival (MOPAF).
Post Pandemic: Come join the WUC CHOIR...
We practice on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 pm in the sanctuary.
Singing while 'sheltered in' is a good way to keep our spirits up. It might even make us consider sharing our joy with others. WUC is looking for motivated volunteer singers of all ranges, who believe passionately in the power of music to shape worship and transform lives.
Post Pandemic rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. when all clear has been sounded.
Choir members should be committed to attend practices and worship services. The choir rehearsals are inspiring and challenging.

Before moving to the island, she served as faculty-artist and professor of piano at the Visual and Performing Arts
Academy, Broward College, FL. Currently Damira works as a Music Director at the Wailuku Union Church.
She provides music for the Sunday Worship service, as well as works with the choir, instrumentalists and conducts other accompanying assignments for special church services. Ms. Feldman is an accomplished pianist and organist with ability to lead congregational singing. She worked as a musician at the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church (Pastor James Flannery) and as a teacher with Music Education Classes for Toddlers through Elementary at the Fulfort United Methodist Church and First United Methodist Church. Damira enthusiastically shares the vision of promoting worship and spiritual growth through music. It is her conviction that the primary goal of the church music is to glorify God and bring joy to church attendees. Damira has presented keyboard solo performances as well as master classes in Russia, the United States, France, Canada and the United Kingdom. For several years, her live piano performances and interviews appeared on various radio stations. She is a winner of several international competitions and recipient of many awards for her educational and artistic achievements. She continues her residency at the University of South Carolina, where she conducts the master classes and lectures-recitals to students from USCA and performs solo recitals at USC Aiken’s Etherredge Center. Ms. Feldman’s ability to recognize and commitment to nurture young talents are obvious reasons for her being invited to join panels of jurors of various national piano competitions organized by Music National Teachers Association, USA.
